What's everyone brushing their babies teeth with if you can't use toothpaste with fluoride in...when that's all they sell in the shops?

I just use aqua fresh one, it has fluoride in x
My baby girl is 8months old, at 6months she had to visit a dentist due to health related issues but she advised me from the moment she got a tooth up through the gum to brush her teeth with adult toothpaste (size of a grain of rice) I was completely shocked when she said it..
