I’m currently doing a Bsc honours in Health Science through the open uni. I do it part time along side my job. I don’t know exactly what it is I want to do, I have a rough idea but I read the course description and thought it would be something I’d enjoy.
Im a SAHM but I have a law degree from my home country. The laws in this country are very disappointing to me so I decided not to stay in the law field here 😔
AS in early childhood education, BA in educational studies and Masters degree in social work.
I have a degree that I don’t use for my job. If you live somewhere that it’s affordable and you want to do something that requires a degree, definitely go for it. But if you live in the US and you’d have to take on debt, I would really weigh out the pros/cons, and your earning potential/cost for the degree. I’m in the US and if things stay like they are now, I would not push my child to get a degree ☹️ And for my family it was basically mandatory.
I have a BA in business administration. Worked in a bank (not a job I needed a degree for haha) and now I'm a sahm. No idea what I want to be when I grow up 😂
I do, but I wish I’d have gone down a different route. Like an apprenticeship, as you end up with less debt and more likely to get a job at the end. Id say decide what job you’d like to do before picking a degree and make sure it’s actually required
Bsc hons in children's nursing
BS in kinesiology which has been worthless unless i want to go to medschool. AS in physical therapy assisting with license, which is useful if i actually enjoyed it. Its a two year program with a licensure exam and pays decent
I went to community college a few times when I was younger and would always have to drop out due to needing to work to pay my rent. Now I live with my dad and don’t have to pay rent so I’m able to stay home with my kids. I used to work for Instacart and loved it but ended up getting a dwi in 2018 when I had a slip up and that put an end to my driving for a while. Now I hear nothing but horror stories about jobs like instacart where it just doesn’t pay shit now and you drive your car into the ground! So I am pregnant due in March and I plan to stay home for 2 years with baby and then have him go into a headstart program or something if I don’t have any more kids shortly after having him. Most of the folks I have worked with at various jobs in my life, the ones who had a degree werw doing something that didn’t even require it or not even using it. They were all in bad debt so I might go back to school eventually but I don’t plan on using student loans or anything so yeah
I have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. I didn’t do my honours year because I really struggled with uni and unless you get a first class degree you can’t really do much with it anyway! I work in a nursery now, my degree was a waste of time.
I have a masters in occupational therapy. I like it but could be a lot of caregiving depending on the setting you choose, so if you’re also a mom it might lead to burnout when you have to take care of people both at work and at home. The good thing is that it’s so diverse so you can find jobs that aren’t as directly related to patient care, or you can pick your own path entirely. It opens the doors for so many specialty certifications like pelvic floor therapy, hand therapy, maternal health, feeding therapy, mental health/mindfulness, assistive technology etc. My long-term plan is to get a doula certification, a pelvic floor therapy certification, and a postpartum mental health certification to holistically help moms through pregnancy and postpartum.
I did a LLB law degree whilst raising my little girl alone, I self taught and kept up with my work and I got a 2:2 currently looking for a job but nowhere wants me Cos of childcare my little girls in nursery but my little boy doesn’t qualify yet x
I have three but I used them for my job every day and one was funded by work. All in the Engineering field.
Honestly, if I could go back in time I definitely wouldn’t have gone to university. The only positive was the social aspect. I absolutely guarantee if I had gone straight into work or apprenticeship I would be more successful than I am now. Of course if you want to be a doctor or something that requires qualifications then absolutely go for it. I just think carefully if it’s a general degree. Do you have any idea at all of the kind of qualifications you’d like? Or career route? I think if you’re clever, have common sense and are open to working hard, you don’t need a degree to get a good job. I hired people without degrees over with, all the time when I hired.

I have a bachelors degree in history but I need a masters to pursue the career I want. Don’t have the money rn tho
AA in Social and Human Services, BA in Juvenile Justice and Culture Studies. I could have stopped with just my AA and been able to get jobs my field since I was already working while getting my first degree. Only got the second since I was able to get grants and not more loans. But now I think I want to do a career change so my degree will kinda be useless if I do a change. And I might need to go do some sort of classes first. I'm almost 30 and still trying to figure out what I want to do long term. And having a family now is changing some of my goals
BA Hons in Event Management. I worked in celebrity PR for 7 years then did my AAT and now work in finance.
I have my certification as a legal secretary, BS paralegal studies, BS Justice studies, and certification in forensic and legal psychology. I’m a senior litigation paralegal.
BA in forensic psychology now working for the city as a caseworker
I have two- a BA in primary education and an MA in management and leadership for education. The second was only for "fun" following chance remarks by ex boyfriends. One said I wasn't very clever and another said that my first degree wasn't real as it was too easy. I'd like to point out that in my second degree I achieved a distinction, the highest grade possible! 😁
About to graduate with a bachelors of education
I’m about to finish my second degree just before giving birth to my second baby x
BS in Communication studies and a minor in marketing
I have a bachelors in chemistry, found out i was pregnant a month before graduation so not currently doing anything with it. I plan on getting my masters online next year while staying home with my baby

About to finish my BA in psychology and waiting for an acceptance to this graduate program in clinical mental health counseling. I’m also a certified peer support specialist and work in maternal mental health while in school. I do plan on working in non profit when i finish my masters so I can do the public service loan forgiveness program.
BS in Applied Behavioral Science Ms.Ed Special Education/BCBA
I just did my basics and got an associates majoring in psychology and child development.. no idea what to do with it but I love learning about these two. Now I work part time in retail with 2 kiddos. Next year I am wanting to get certified to work at a pharmacy. I get a lot of mom guilt since one of my kids will start prek and I won't have time for them after school with their homework or putting them to sleep but also having mom guilt if I put my youngest in daycare since neither went to daycare. I'm choosing this route because I've seen some job listing with this job working only weekends.

Bachelor of Science in Accounting - use it everyday. Worth it
Masters inCriminology, Bachelor in Psychology and Sociology. I used my degrees to work very niche roles at multi-million dollar companies, and ultimately work for the United States Government. However, gave it all up to become a stay at home mom, and don’t regret it . 💙👶🏽🫶🏾
I have a criminal justice degree. However I now own my own business and don’t use my degree. But I will be going back to college next year for a second degree.
Just anything you want to do really, think about what you want to become and achieve and enrol yourself in the degree that you’ll be passionate about. It’s not easy and if you don’t enjoy it, it’ll be hard.
I have a cna certification, and a registered behavioral therapist certification.
