Military family-jobs

Hello I am a nurse. My husband is in the Navy. Fortunately he is on the shore side for the next year. I am currently working bank only but struggling to get shifts in my trust. I also have a bank contract with a GP surgery, which I don't really enjoy to be honest. I need to increase my working hours so I am looking for something permanent. My son will start school next September, so I am thinking ahead as next year my husband is likely to be away for big drinks. We don't have any family support therefore it's all on me. Can anyone suggest any nursing jobs that would suit school hours? I think I may have to use the odd wrap around care but I don't want to do this all the time. Perhaps a nanny. Are there any jobs out there that suit/support school drop offs/pick ups? Or are there any nursing work from home jobs that I should look into? I need to work but I want to be around for my son. I am trying to wrap my head around it and wondering whether I need a change of career just to suit home life 😂 Thank you

A friend is a school nurse and has a term time only contract

@Rose Thank you for your comment. I have actually been looking at school nurse jobs but I can't seem to find any at the moment. It seems like a good option x

I think they might be with community nhs trusts, I’ve never looked myself though

@Rose Thanks Rose, I shall have a look. I am not sure those jobs come about often but one can be hopeful 😆
