Maternity leave in California!
Hi! After researching maternity leave in California, I'm still unsure if we're eligible for both "state disability" and paid family leave, or just one. Can someone help me understand? I appreciate it!

My friend told Me PFL is 7 weeks now?
Also as of 1/1/25 pretty sure the pay is 70% instead of 60%

If you are working and have paid in to state disability then you will get both: SDI: 4 weeks before delivery “the last 4 weeks of pregnancy are hard on the body that technically you are considered disabled in this state” though you can choose to work up until delivery as you only get about 60% of your pay with SDI… however you don’t contribute to any retirement plans or anything like that during this time so my take home pay while on SDI was pretty close to my regular pay SDI: 6 weeks after delivery for vaginal delivery, 8 weeks for cesarean PFL: 6 weeks added to the end of that. They are two different applications and your OB will help you fill them out
