How...

How do all these (mom) influencers make it look sooo easy... and always have a clean house. I'm lucky if i get a shower in🥴😵‍💫 But seriously, any tips or advice on how to get a start please let me know. I'm trying my hand at everything and having no luck. Maybe it's just me ha.

I felt this way for a while, and it always made me feel inadequate. Overtime, I've learned that a big portion of social media isn't real. How is it possible to have 3 under 3, an entire white/beige home, and it's ALWAYS neat and tidy?!? thats unrealistic in my opinion. Not knocking any of those "perfect" mom influences, they're just not for me and come off as tailored. There are a few mom influencers that I come across that are real and relatable. They house isn't perfection, they're hair and makeup isn't always done, dishes in the sink, etc. This is what I can relate to lol. I'm literally sitting on the couch right now, fighting off a flu bug I just got from my son, while he's jumping on the bed saying he's free (from the sickness lml). I'd say embrace where YOU are in your mom journey. No two will look the same. It's hard not to compare yourself to others, but it's definitely worth putting in the practice. I find myself doing it here and there, and will often correct myself.

As far as advice: I'd say the night before, make a small list of the things you want to get done. I'll usually put 2-3 small things and a large one to kinda balance it out. If two things off that list get done, I'm satisfied lol. Also, try prioritizing time for just you. Even if it's after the kids are asleep. Enjoy that long, hot shower! I'm a SAHM, and this is just what work for me 😌

I have no advice, as I’m currently way too behind on laundry and I haven’t showered since the weekend lmaoo. But just came to say that you’re not alone and still a great mom! Social media is fakeeeee, it’s a highlight reel of their best moments. A lot of those people have a closet/room full of junk that they’re not showing the internet, or they can afford a professional cleaner😂. Plus I’d probably be more motivated to get things done too , if I got paid to make videos around the house with my baby lmao. So don’t compare yourself , like @Jaleasa said embrace your own mom journey! Do what you can in the day and enjoy time with your little ones ❤️

A lot of these influencer moms have maids

The other side of it which I don't think gets talked about enough either. I get what your saying but it isn't always 'tailored ' I have 8 kids and my colour scheme is off white , sage and wood . Everything has a place and the house is normally pretty clean and organised. This isn't a choice this is because I suffer with OCD and have lots of kids living in the countryside and on a farm. My head has to have cleanliness and organisation to function. I'm not an influencer just a mum doing her best wishing she could sit and relax when theirs a mess . It can work both ways but we don't talk about the people who need it to be tidy and organised because of their mental health struggles

Thank you all! I know alot is most likely fake/staged. Literally caaan not believe everything you see anymore, especially with all the AI. Not saying influencers are AI, generally speaking. I feel like with what you can see in the background, they already have money and can afford to play around and hope for the best. Not knocking it, cuz clearly they hacked it. Just saying I can't make that my main focus and hope for the best. Not gonna lie, also been very rough lately so going through something, been beside myself and comparing myslef to everyone and thing. But yess, must get on a better track and embrace my mom journey. @Jaleasa Love that! Thank you

i have no advice but i was talking with some other mom friends about it. often times they have lots of help, whether it be a nanny or their husband is superhero material.

They have a team of people helping.. my friend is a “nanny” aka she does all the “parenting” for the kids. You are doing amazing momma!!

They hire a cleaning company and just do the basic upkeep for videos

I’m a single mother, 24 years old, my child’s father is incarcerated, and a full time college student, and I still make those videos for my followers😮‍💨 I definitely don’t have a huge support system and I live alone. Making assumptions of people saying their not (moms) because we enjoy making content is definitely a reach :/Exactly what you said is “we make it look easy” that doesn’t mean we don’t still have messes to clean up every day, dishes, laundry, and screaming toddlers like everyone else. It’s about showing the beauty in the mess. It’s still very much possible to keep your house and children in order while filming a 2 minute video… I wish people wouldn’t make so many hurtful assumptions of others. You have no idea what happens behind the scenes. Content creation actually takes time and dedication to something we have a passion for. It’s an art form similar to dance, drawing etc it’s letting out our creativity and enjoying ourselves. Don’t let other peoples happiness drain you :)

its not real
