How many scans is too many?…

I've had 2 private as early reassurance & I've got a private gender one booked for when I'm 17 weeks & I'll have a private 4D one too x

Never feel silly for wanting to see your baby! Especially if you've had complications x

No such thing as too many if it’s helping you feel more comfortable! I’m nearly 16 weeks and I’ve already had 3 scans (drs orders, not private) I have to have at least 3 more thanks to previous complications and the medication I’m on. I thought it was a lot but I’m grateful to be able to see the baby whenever I can.

I had one at 10 weeks, then the usual 12 week scan which I had at 13 weeks. now I’ve booked one for 17 weeks, I did IVF so I don’t care how many I have! The comfort of knowing baby is okay trumps how expensive they are! They have a disclaimer not to have too many (more often than every 2 weeks) on my private scan place!

I had one at EPU at 6 weeks, then a private one at 9 weeks, private at 11 weeks and my NHS scan at 12 weeks. It’s not silly to want to see your baby, it’s so hard not knowing if they’re okay/everything is going as it should. I’ve already booked my gender scan for next month and then have my NHS one the month after. I’ll no doubt book other private ones too after that.

I wouldn't feel silly about it. If you can afford it, then crack on!

I've had 5 scans and I'm nearly 14 weeks, 4 of those were NHS. I did have issues at the beginning and I'm high risk by default, So ive been getting regular ones than usual, I think its important for sanity to check as many times as you see fit... anything before 24 weeks as far as I'm concerned is a scary place to be (medically wise) So if that settles your mind seeing them more so and often, then so be it! I think everyone goes through a time of aniexty during pregnancy and why should we feel guilty? We should be validated for wanting peace of mind and a stressfree pregnancy.. 🥰💖 I personally have pregnancy type PTSD 😅 So I've got no shame in getting scans, and paying for the privilege if I can't get one at the hospital xx

I am currently 14 weeks 1 day and I have had 3 private scans 3 scans in EPAU and my 12 weeks scan so total 7 scans xx

It's not radioactive, just ultrasound so vibrations/sound so there's no risk to baby. So up to you!

I've had 5 scans! 3 were private; one at 6 weeks, one at 8 weeks and one at 10.5 weeks. We then had to have one at EPU after a bleed at 11 weeks and then my dating scan at 12w5d! We plan to have another before my 20 week. X

I had 3 private scans - 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 10 weeks. Then the 12 week NHS. Going to book a 16 week to find out the gender then I’ll have my 20 week NHS one. Then we are just going to play it by ear to be honest and see if we want anymore. I feel like once we can feel baby move we won’t feel the need for as many. But I think if you can afford private scans they are definitely worth it!

With my first I had 7,10,16,25,30 and 32 weeks privately! Would do it again!
