Hey! My son will be 1 in April and I'm planning on "Isn't he ONEderful" as the theme. I guess it's a theme, lol. It's going to be very simple 😁. Just close friends and family with cupcakes and maybe pizza or sandwiches. And we also plan to take him to the Georgia Aquarium. Babies do love aquariums, lol 🥰. We'll be going to Orlando in the fall to visit family and will do a Disney trip too. He'll be 18 months by then. His cousin took her kids to Disney several times (they live near there) when the kids were very young and they loved it. Probably didn't understand much, but they had fun. Either idea is good and to be honest they won't remember or understand, but they're still precious memories to look back on 💖
For my son we are not doing a party. We are taking him to get his hair cut and then to a kids play gym for young toddlers. After we probably will go out to eat and then home to open his gifts. This way I can splurge a bit more on his gifts instead of a party. With my oldest daughter I always over did everything and spent so much money and you don’t even get to really enjoy the party. And it never turns out like what I picture in my head which frustrates me even more. So I have learned my lesson. I rather have experiences like taking a trip or get more quality gifts then to stress out and the day comes and goes and I wasted money. There are ways to make milestone birthdays special like getting a pandora bracelet with her birthstone or a Swarovski crystal she can keep as a keepsake.
I have twin girls and they turn 1 on the 24th of April. I guess I should start thinking about this already. Honestly, do what’s most convenient. Definitely cut a cake whether it’s just ya or your closest family and friends. Do a pot luck where everyone can contribute and alleviate the stress from you. No matter what you choose to do, you’ll be spending some cash so figure out which makes more sense. Either way, they won’t remember lol but the pictures will be there for the future.
Same I feel like I have to throw a party to avoid taking a whole flight to Disney knowing he will not enjoy very much or remember. He will just be hungry and tired as his schedule is 2 hrs up 2 hrs down lol but then I feel like if I do I should let it be small cause fuck them other people
I'm throwing my babygirl a party it's going to be either princess and the frog themed or beauty and the beast themed. Gonna dress her as a little princess. Me personally always wanted to do thos for my children. I'm gonna get a toddler bouncehouse for her and the kids at the church, we are doing our party at our church since it will be a free venue. I'm also going to do finger foods and stuff like that where I make it myself. I've also always enjoyed being a hostess so I'm super excited to put together and throw her her first party. Also personally I've been taking my lo to universal and the zoo since we live close and have season passes to both (i know its not disney). She absolutely loves both, she loves to see all the people and going around. So even though you guys will have fun at Disney she probably will too just cause it's something different and there will be so many colors and people all around. Also if yiu just want an aquarium like you said she'd have fun with all of that .
And honestly do what makes you guys comfortable. Yiu shouldn't feel guilty bc you want that day to be just the three of you ! And let's face it lol, none of our lo will remember the day, just see the pictures and the stories we tell them about what we did with them on their first birthday !!
We took our baby to Disney for Christmas and she loved it! There is so much for babies. They can get on most rides with you. There’s movie rides and live shows. She was so into it. We brought her nanny so we went to all 4 of the parks and she would leave early w her nanny. Babies fav park was animal kingdom or magic kingdom- especially at night with all the lights. *If you go to Disney. Book your food reservations months in advance. The app will tell you when you’re now able to reserve reservations in Disney parks and at Disney springs. Do not wait till you’re there to get reservations- there will be nothing available in the park except the food stands or a never ending waitlist. As soon as you can reserve try to reserve a meal in Cinderella’s castle first bc those slots go so fast. *Get lightening lane passes with a baby!! BUT, reserve the rides you want with lightening lane 2-3 days in advance or the only time slots available will be late times at night or no times at all.
My daughter will be 1 on April 22 and I’ve been planning hers since before she was born, I decided on “berry” first birthday which is strawberry themed and I narrowed it to where she will have fun along with the others by sensory play and stuff like that. Everyone’s different especially with their babies Intrests. Personally I feel she will have more fun with her family and I planned to make food specifically so she can eat along with us. Do what you thinks better for her
