I'm on my first and it's really tough on me. I've had really bad morning sickness that lasted 8 weeks, general aches and pains, insomnia and now I have pgp. Oh and dizziness! Can't offer advice as we don't know what flavour we're cooking, but.. just wanted to say you're not alone. I feel like my body is not doing a good job too.
I don’t know what the first four letters means sorry! 😂 yeah could well be a myth, the lady who did my whooping cough said girls are generally worse because of the different hormones they require but could also definitely be a second pregnancy thing, it’s been really hard!
Your bodies not failing you, you’re just pregnant. This is my 2nd girl, and I can assure you I’ve hate being pregnant both times cause I’ve had HG and still at 23 weeks taking antisickness, and a lot of other things including pelvic girdle pain where your pelvis separates 🫣 Just gotta get through! Approx 16 more weeks to go
second pregnancy with another girl and i’m dreading getting any bigger. i already walk like i’ve got a full nappy, my entire body aches and i’ve always got a blocked nose or something irritating going on. also i’m shattered all the time, i don’t remember being this tired with my first, but also had the luxury to nap when i needed to, no chance of that happening with having a toddler attached to me for 14 hours a day🙃
Thank you @Ann-Marie it’s good to know i’m not alone! Oh gosh @Jess I had pgp in the last few weeks of my last pregnancy and I couldn’t even close my legs the pain, you poor thing! @Aimee oh my gosh I KNOW! Last pregnancy I could lay on the sofa and watch films this time i’m fishing my ones year olds poo out the bath and chasing him down the corridors 🙈 I’ve also found i’m so focused on him i’ve forgotten to look after myself like remembering to take my prenatals etc
I think second pregnancy is harder because we have toddler to look after and is require a lot of energy, we can't really rest. My first was quite easy , I never complained, I was excited, I have high blood pressure and heart condition but it did not bothered me much. Second...uff....sucked all my strengths , last few months really tough for me, I have restless arms and legs, taking a lot of vitamin and magnesium, but don't help me much...I have break down often..no village, I am exhausted mentally and physicaly....
I really don't know how some women can have one after another one...I saw one nice family..they are married 8 years and have 9 children, women gets pregnant every year and she had twins..now they are expecting 10th child, I think she has very strong health and a lot of energy to do it...I don't think I can have more then 2...is such a hard job and when you are 30 + is not the same energy level like at 25...but all people are different
@Nastia goodness I don’t know how she does it! I definitely don’t plan to have anymore after this one! I’m also over 30 this time maybe that makes a difference too you’re definitely right!
@Paulina same! My girl was so easy but I’m having a really hard time with my boy. The sickness at 23 weeks, a hematoma (which is finally resolving itself), pregnancy messing with my endo so the hip pain has been constant since way before 12 weeks and the insomnia. I’m exhausted.
@Lor i’ve had so many people ask what im going to be doing during my mat leave or what shows i’m going to binge like hello? ive not been able to watch anything other than cbeebies in 3 years🙃
@Candise oh girl! 😭
@Aimee right?! Currently watching cocomelon I can only imagine how it’s going to be running around after my 1 year old with a newborn in arms 🥲
Couldn’t agree more! My first pregnancy with my son was perfect, no complications at all and felt great! I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant with a girl and it’s been horrendous since week 7, in and out of hospital and generally feeling rubbish 24/7😭xx
FWIW, my girl pregnancy was a breeze and my boy pregnancy now has been pretty tough in comparison. Maybe there's something about 2nd pregnancy but in all truthfulness I think every pregnancy is simply different x
