@Liz Ah, I couldn’t have done it at 3 months! Even at almost 7 months I’m having a hard time picturing it… Being home all day can definitely be a lot though and I want to be able to get back to my career it’s just hard to look ahead. Thanks for your input :)
I was originally going back after 6 months but felt too soon in the end (I'm only 13 weeks pp now but 6 months is fast approaching) so I changed my return date from April.to July to give me more time and I'm a teacher so I'll be paid over the summer but off for more time with my girl then so she'll nearly be a year old when I go back properly
I have just gone back to work and my son is nearly 8 months old. The transition has been hard but I think it will be hard no matter how long you’ve taken off. Keeping busy at work does help and you eventually will get into a routine.
I went back to work at 3 months. I was initially planning on being out longer but I couldn't get approved for more paid leave and was at risk of losing my health insurance. I struggled being home all day and had mild PPD so going back to work was beneficial to both me and my LO. I am happy I stayed out as long as I did because I felt better physically after having that longer time to recover from giving birth.
