Gestational Diabetes Test

I’d give your local hospital a ring and ask. I had to fast the night before and then had 2 bloods and had to drink a glucose drink xx

Mine was a few weeks ago I fasted for 8 hours x

My appointment is 9am, and I've been told to not eat after midnight x

Do not eat after midnight, at Queen Charlotte's it was a first come, first "served " so I did go in first thing, as you will have to stick arround after you drink the glucose for the 2nd test and you can't eat or drink anything except water until after the 2nd blood test

Yeah i couldn't eat for 8 hours before my test x

Yes if it's a morning appointment don't eat anything from 9pm the night before x

Take a sandwich with you though, because you need two lots of bloods and the waiting etc I didn’t get to eat anything til 1.15pm so I was starving x

Yes 12hr fasting xx

Thank you ladies - I did fast in the end Thank god I did tbh because that’s the first thing they asked is if I had fasted.
