Nauseous in the second trimester.

This is my second pregnancy. I think my first pregnancy lead me in to a false sense of security- it had no side effects at all throughout! I am now currently 23weeks and I feel sick most days. I’d just like to know if anyone’s experienced the same? 😭🤍

Lucky mine has subsided a bit but I definitely did still have it in the second trimester I too was given a false sense of security by my first pregnancy! This one had been completely different! Have you been prescribed anti sickness tablets? I think those worked for me. I don’t take them now tho x

Crazy how different pregnancies can be! No i haven’t. I haven’t even mentioned it to my midwife. I think I’m going to have to call her next week to see what she suggests. I am also on aspirin this time around so I don’t know if that could be causing it?! X

I am in the same boat. My 1st pregnancy was amazing, beside a little health scare. But didnt have any symptoms. I am 24 weeks tomorrow, and l have never been this exhausted, l was throwing up constantly up until l was about 18-20 weeks and could only eat about 2-3 things. I love being pregnant though, and as much as it is tiring, l just so glad l still have nearly 4 months to go.

Yup 22 weeks and while /nothing/ compares to the near death experience that was the first trimester but I’m still nauseous every single day for most of the day and it’s hell

@Kitti do you still feel sick or has it passed? I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this way. I’m super grateful for my baby but gosh, I wish I felt good. I’m beyond tired too. Never slept so good in my life and I’m still just as tired 😂

@Leonie it sucks doesn’t it. I just haven’t found anything that really helps x

with my first i was sick from 6 weeks until around 16 weeks, had two weeks where i could eat anything and everything i wanted and then the sickness came back hard, also developed reflux too so anytime i lay down i just threw up, had to sleep with a bottle of gaviscon next to my bed😂 didn’t stop until baby came out, even through up the entire time i was in labour which was just lovely. it’s horrible and i can’t offer any advice as nothing really helped me besides throwing up, but what i will say is that the second baby is out and it goes away you will feel amazing

@Aimee that sounds horrendous

@Gemma only thing that helps me is eating frequently even though I have no appetite. I eat a protein rich snack last thing before I go to sleep and have a protein bar next to the bed to eat before I get vertical. Honestly torture to eat straight away but makes a massive difference for me.

@Leonie thank you, I will try that x
