Literally same boat! I joined this thing called prolific to do surveys and so far I’ve only had one survey in 3 months meaning I’ve made a grand total of £8 🤦🏽♀️ I wish I had the confidence to talk on camera I’d even try the whole tik tok thing 😅
Look at Otta, Escape the City and Flexa - they all specialise in jobs with flexi working / work from home x
There’s loads of options. But it all depends on your skills and interests. Also are you hoping to do full time WFH or hybrid? Because hybrid roles are easier to come by. LinkedIn have a remote filter, as does indeed. But most jobs will still need you to do video calls etc. So if you’re one of the people who think they can do it alongside childcare then that’s unlikely for most jobs x
I sent my cv to a bunch of local companies asking if they needed anyone with my skill set, I’m now an HR manager working pt from home! But agree it’s not doable with a baby, I work when he’s at nursery x
@Bones only in America, it’s still available in the UK
@Bones only the US we still have it in the UK
Haha I considered feet pics but don’t know if I’ve got nice feet 😅 Have you considered upskilling then working for yourself? That’s what I’ve done. Have you got any hobbies you like that you could turn into a business ? X
@Sarah what do you do Sarah? I’ve got a startup but I do find it lonely!
I work remotely. It is a 1099 job, don’t have to speak to any one and I can work whenever I want 😊 I had referred a few sahm from here. Let me know if you want are refferel. If you like dogs you can also use apps like Rover and wag
@Caitlin it's definitely something I've considered on more than one occasion haha!
@Cal my kids are actually all in full time school so I'm able to work school hours. I am a fully qualified TA and specialise in supporting children with additional needs. I was made redundant last September and am actually now registered disabled. I can go back to what I know best but would love a little job from home instead.
@Sarah I have a problem with hyper fixating on hobbies. My husband says I'm a little bit good at a lot of things. There isn't much I haven't tried my hand at. The only thing I found I made money from was furniture up cycling but there's no money in that anymore because everyone likes to do it themselves. P.s My friend said in the past the weirder the feet the more money you'll make 🤣
@Charlotte how about online tutoring? Or making teaching resources? Or maybe some sort of support or remote assistance for parents who’ve just had children diagnosed? Or working for a learning support charity? Sounds like you have lots of transferable skills ❤️
@Cal Im honestly useless when I comes to looking for things. My hours have to work around my kids school times and also my husband works 4 on 4 off 2 days 2 night shifts so I have to work around him too. It's rubbish because I don't drive so I have to look quite close to home that's why I thought at home work would be best for now until I can pass my bloody test haha!. I've never even considered those kinds of jobs to be fair, I would know where/what to look for x

@Charlotte haha I’m a bit like that! What about creating a course or ebook about up cycling furniture then run some ads and sell it online? Once you’ve hit your stuff up and running it can tick along in the background x
@Cal yes it really can be can’t it. What’s your startup in? That’s so exciting!! I work in digital marketing helping women (especially new mamas!) learn social media/branding/sales skills so they can launch their own businesses. I could return to my job after having my bub so needed to work for myself. I’m part of a couple of communities which really helps with feeling part of something and having someone to bounce ideas off x
@Jess is this in the UK?xx
@Charlotte yeah they all have jobs in the U.K., some international that allow for U.K. positions too. Could be worth a search! X
@Siobhan you don’t need to be forward facing to be on insta/tiktok! You can do faceless marketing, theme pages, loads of stuff! Happy to explain more if you need me too 🤗
@Jess thank you sweetie I'll have a look now!x
@Charlotte TES.co.uk allow you to charge for teaching resources now I think (I used to upload mine free before they rebuilt) so that could be one option? So many jobs can work around life. Like you say it’s just knowing where to start. ❤️
@Sarah destination marketing. Promoting the North of England. Glad you have a network to chat with ❤️
@Cal oh I worked in the travel & events industry for years working with companies such as yours! I’ll st f you a DM so we don’t completely hijack this thread 🤭😅
Laughing at this because I'm in the same boat and I literally said to my SO this morning "is feet pics out of the question?"🤣
