I had a medical abortion in 2023. It wasn’t painful but very heavy bleeding and big clots. I had one because we didnt have the space for another baby at the time but it did mess with my mental health and to this day I regret it immensely. Always think before you do it
I had a surgical one without anaesthetic which I 100% do not recommend, if anyone chooses surgical please take the anaesthetic!
I have never had an abortion no, but I’m here for any ladies that need someone to talk to and chat to during this time if it’s something they decide! Us mamas got to support each other! ☺️
I’ve had more than one abortion in my life. The first was a surgical abortion & i hated every second of it, had to go back in 2 weeks after the first surgery and get a second “clean up round” done. Years after that I had a medical abortion and it was 1000% better than my experience with a surgical abortion. If I ever had to pick between the two, I’d pick a medical abortion hands down
I’ve had mixed experiences. I’ve had both a medical and surgical abortion, all below 12 weeks. 1 medical was extremely painful and another was a breeze - less painful than a period. Surgical one was fine too, just went in and went under and was let out a few hours later. I would consider a medical if you’re below 8-9 weeks for sure. Typically in the UK they won’t offer you surgical if you’re under 10 weeks I think
