They said that if my blood pressure continues to be high they might need to admit me and keep me in the hospital until I turn 34 weeks :(. My OBGYN has not sent me any kind of medicine besides just eat better, walk and that’s it . I feel defeated
@Emy I would question them and ask them why are they not giving you either ramipril and labetalol which is safe during pregnancy, before I was adding salt onto my food but now I don’t unless I have fries x
I have high blood pressure outside of pregnancy. I’m on labetelol 3x daily already and baby aspirin. I have ti take my blood pressure am and pm and send log to doctor. I noticed it being higher in the evening after eating foods with a. Lot of sodium. Make sure you’re monitoring your salt intake too!! I saw a significant difference since starting to monitor that. Good luck!!
You can also request that they take your blood pressure towards the end of your appt when you’re settled! Mine is typically high at first due to nerves, walking around from room to room, etc. It’s always much lower later when I’m settled in.
Sorry I can’t help you but this is my worry , I have hypertension out side of pregnancy I’m on labetalol twice a day , when I’m at home my blood pressure seems to be absolutely fine but as soon as I step inside of a hospital or the midwives it tends to jump right up, they said they think I have white coat syndrome which made me laugh cus I told my husband I have it and he didn’t believe it’s a thing, so are they planning on bringing baby at 34 weeks now due to your hypertension xx
