Love to dream do newborn sleeping bags/swaddles x
Tommee Tippee do really good swaddle bags, I used them with my first and using them again this time around You can use them with their arms out or there are poppers on the arm holes you can close so you can use them as a swaddle as well which we found really useful I bought them from Vinted they are quite pricey new
We used swaddles until he started showing signs of rolling around 4 months, and then switched to sleep sacs. Kyte Baby has been my favourite sleep sacs for softness, but we have used other cheaper ones that are good as well. Amazon has a good selection
Your newborn usually should be swaddled until they show signs of rolling and then they can go into a sleep sack, just like Jayden mentioned, we love Kyre Baby, but can be expensive. Great quality tho
@Kelly I’m against swaddling so won’t be using swaddles this time either. Swaddles suppress the startle reflex, so the longer this is suppressed the longer it takes for babies to grow out of it. Babies also need their hands free to explore and to soothe themselves, like they do in the womb.
To each their own but I know that my baby slept significantly better when swaddled. I think it can be frustrating for them when their startle reflex is constantly waking them. And it is only a few months. But that’s just my two cents. You might have a hard time finding warm sleep sacs for a newborn as it isn’t very common practice… what is available might be quite big on a newborn, but you could always layer with fleece footed jammies and the smallest sleep sac you can find
They have sheets that have swaddles connected it velcros over baby you could try those! I believe they have them on Amazon
