Have not received hospital bill for birth even after following up
My baby just turned 13 months today. I had a hard time with insurance after birth with my husband’s insurance claiming the baby is insured under mother and my insurance claiming baby is insured under father.( I added baby to my insurance but according to the birthday rule it is my husband?-makes no sense) anyway after tons of to and fro, and putting me under additional mental stress my insurance finally accepted it is the baby’s insurance ( duh - I added baby to it within 30 days). But this communication took close to 4 months . Now my hospital bill is pending. My insurance says they have paid it but the hospital says they have not received a portion so waiting for insurance. Well it’s 13 months since birth and i really need to know how much I owe. I don’t want a surprise bill. What are my options?

They have. But the eob says they did not pay a part of it as hospital did not provide documentation on time. Hospital says they are following up on that
You may be off the hook on that the . I think there is a time limit for submissions. I had an anesthesiologist wait 2 yrs to submit a bill-I no longer had the same insurance and ultimately didn’t have to pay

Call your insurance. They should provide an explanation if benefits proving that they paid.
