Toddler activities

I have a 19 month old and a one month old. I am trying to find things to do with my toddler at home as I don’t feel comfortable leaving the house by myself with both kids yet. We go on small walks around our apartment complex but I am running out of things to do with my toddler inside our home. What do you guys do to keep your energetic toddler busy all day ?

I have a 19 month old and 1 month old as well!! I have no advice though cause it’s so cold in NC 😂 we’re constantly bored

Following because I have a 17 month old and a 3 week old and going anywhere is like a field trip and I just don’t feel comfortable going anywhere with both kids by myself.

Breakfast, music time one hour of his favorite songs then reading time for 30 mins. Then we do art and coloring for 30 mins. Then he gets 30 mins of screen time while I make lunch then he eats and bed time from 12-3 then. I put him in his high chair and he helps me prep dinner and I give him snack time while I do that. Then we go for a walk after that Daddy gets home and mama gets a break for an hour and then we eat dinner and play till bath time. Then repeat

Following because I have no idea what to do with my 19 month old. All we do is watch Sesame Street and play with his toys. I usually end up bringing him to my parents so we at least have other people around. 😅

@Becca I have my parents take my toddler on Sunday’s so I can have time to clean our home but mostly so she can get out of the house and go explore.

@Tracy This sounds like a great routine. I count down the minutes for daddy to get home so momma can get a break 😂

@Jazmin leaving the house with two kids is definitely a mission especially doing it all by yourself. This is why I only leave the house for errands or other things with husband. It’s also safer that way. Soon they will be old enough where we can feel comfortable leaving the house alone with them. Stay strong 💪🏽

@Ashley This daylight savings doesn’t help either 😂

@Ashley oh hey! We're in Raleigh currently but we go between different places ( hubby's new job is out of Greensboro , but he travels a lot) . Do you wear your newer one ? Because there's definitely some places you can wear one kid and have the other burn some energy indoors, or take them to somewhere to burn energy

I try to clean whenever I can , and he has a toddler playpen set up , but he also likes to move around the entire house ( crawling usually, but some cruising ) , so I do have to keep an eye on him

I know you said you aren’t ready to go out with both kids yet but my local library has a whole floor for kids and a ton of stuff for them to do. If you have something like this a library would be a calm place to get out with both kids.

following:

Play tunnel, foam climbing toys, sand box, play doh, giant coloring books, painting, miss Rachel, long bath
