Returning to work
STrESSED - trying to work out my return to work. How are you supposed to live, pay everything then nursery on top !! Not to mention afterschool and holiday club for my eldest boys.
My mum helped me out with my other 2 boys but unfortunately her health has deteriorated so can’t help now :( and my husbands family are out the question also

Yep! And because they’re August babies we don’t get the 9months 15hrs funding, so have to pay full until the next term which is September when the 30hours kicks in. We will be paying £840x2 for our youngest 2 and £200 a month for after school for our eldest. We have no family so trying to work out if we can figure out 4 day weeks each but that means we will only get Sunday together as a family. It’s so upsetting :/
100%! My paid mat leave ends in May but I've decided to take 8 weeks unpaid then my holiday allowance to return to work in September otherwise most of my pay would be going on childcare due to only being able to start using funding in the term starting in September!

Have you thought about a childminder rather than nursery? We find it considerably cheaper. Also remember baby will get 30 hours funded from September much sooner than it used to be x
