I’ve been doing my sons hair since he was young (I do it every 2 weeks) he’s 3 now & he is used to me cainrowing his hair but he doesn’t like the brushing/combing out. Try and get something that is a detangler that might help
I use a spray bottle always wet it first (if not in the bath) and use some curl cream or detangler brush little bits at a time and then leave it to air dry or style, my child hair looks crazy unless we got somewhere to go I pick my battles but all 3 of mine have the same mixed hair but I find detangler sprays can make the hair stick together and Matt if not wet with water first x
That’s pretty normal for kiddos with curly hair. Brushing out the tangles hurts. When brushing you need to start from the ends and work your way up to the root, and if the hair is short you just need to lightly do small strokes one section at a time. It’ll get easier to detangle as the hair gets longer, but they’ll never want it done if it’s constantly causing them pain. Hope that helps, I’m a black girl.
