Can I install the isofix base now?

Question header asks if all can I install the isofix base for the cat seat in the cat or are we better off waiting better to the due date? I know with the cat seat itself if we got in an accident we’d have to get a new one but unsure about the base

Practise maybe but don’t leave in? It takes literally seconds to install once you know how. Can do it when you go into labour or even other half can after baby born, assuming you’re in for a short while there should be plenty of time

You can install it, but the base is the same as the seat in the sense it would need to be replaced if it was in an accident. We're installing ours this week though. Our older daughter's seat is tethered into the car anyway so I think we're just a bit more relaxed about it this time around.

The base is the same as a car seat, you would need to replace in an accident. I wouldn’t put this in until the last minute. It takes two minutes to pop into place so I wouldn’t worry x

Thank you all 🥰

I already have my babies car seat installed but not due til the end of feb. if you’re insured, insurance covers the cost of replacement (typically) and considering I could go into labour earlier I don’t want to risk not having it installed… aaaand it had to fit with my other 2 car seats so 🤷🏻‍♀️
