How should I add to my family birthstone necklace?
Right now it’s in order of birth month
January for my son
February for me
April for our dog
September for my husband
We were expecting an end of March baby. She will now be an end of February baby so I’ll have two amethysts on my necklace.
I’m not positive if they’ll rearrange all the stones - then I could do birth order meaning me and my husband first, then dog, then son, then new baby

Personally I would have the two stones that are the same color as far away from eachother at different ends of the sequence
On mine I have my partner and I on the outer ones, helps as we’re both November, and then in the middle both my children’s
I would most likely do birth order. My husband and I have the same birth stone and I’ve started a pandora bracelet since my daughter was born and will most likely either only get one emerald or 2 and put them on opposite ends
I like @Frayere idea and that you you can still separate them a bit if you want
