Child addicted to iPad

I was going so well with my child with screen free for the first 12 month of his life and he would learn and meet his milestone soo quick. First 12 months he never watched any tv or iPad On is 1st birthday I’ve bought him an iPad and 3 month down the line he’s addicted to his iPad. He would wake up and look for his iPad and if I say no iPad he will throw a tantrum. How do I go back to completely screen free.

Why would you buy a one year old an Ipad? Sorry, not judging. Just genuinely interested

Take it away. Don't give it at all. Place other toys near him. After few tantrums he will play with the toys. Say something like iPad go bye bye if he asks. Talk with him, go for walks, go to garden, play music, read books etc.

With all due respect just dont give it to him. Yes it will be rough for a few days but its literally to benefit his health and wellbeing and in a few days he will forget about it

Just take it away, my 13month old chucks himself on the floor for all kinds of reasons (I’ve said no to pulling off the wallpaper, I’m trying to put him in his pram suit, stopping him eating dirt, hidden my Fitbit from him etc…) he’s easily distracted and happy again think they are just learning about their feelings, desires and opinions at this age and learning they can’t always do what they want
