Generally speaking it's hard to get a good fit in these as the extra material bunches around the straps. Car seats are pretty insulated and warm, so inside clothes with a blanket on top tends to be enough for the journey to and from the car

@Row car seat experts advise these aren't safe. A blanket over the top of them is fine
