Nappy sizes

Hi all, when should you go up a nappy size? My LB is 12 weeks old and weighs 11lb 5oz. Pampers size 1 still seem to fit him just fine but the packaging says up to 5kg which he is just over. The size 2’s I have are Aldi ones. If they still seem to fit, ok to carry on? Seems a daft question but wanted to check.

Honestly, I don’t worry necessarily about what the weight size says as long as it fits my girl comfortably and she doesn’t have any marks on her… Newborn pampers I think said that they go up to like 9 pounds but I put her in size ones when she was Eight because she was getting marks from the newborn

My son always went a size up about 2 kg before he even reached the weight limit for the size he was wearing at the time! Because he always had marks from the smaller size so that was my sign to size up and it always solved the issue :)

I wouldn’t go off the sizing my baby is almost 30lb and fits in nappies that are “too small” from the guide

When in doubt size up. Saves you from explosions 😂 if it gets close to the top of the back of the diaper it then next size it goes is what I do.

Yeah I go by how they fit. According to the weight my girl could fit in a size 3, but they're too snug so I put her in size4s

My 12w daughter is 11lb 6oz and is the same way 1s fit her fine and 2s are huge. I use 2s at night though because she sleeps 8 hours at night

Thank you all x
