Car seats!!! đź’ş

My little one only recently has started to HATE the car seat and will cry the WHOLE time when in the car. No matter if someone is sat in the back with her. She is 3 and half months and started when she was 3 months. Before that she would fall asleep every time. Any advice?

Is she getting too big for the seat/need to take the newborn inserts out if you haven’t already? My LO did the exact same around the same age and the second we changed to a bigger seat he was immediately happy again!

Ours was the same. Few times it was wind and she couldn't burp so really uncomfortable. We put a mirror up and a hanging toy which distracts her for about 20 minutes! 6 months now and can't go further unless I'm in the back!!

Babies start wanting to sit more upright around that age in prams or car seats, they start being interested in the world around them. See if there’s an insert you can take out

I had problems with the newborn carseat. My Lo would scream so much. Changed to a maxi cosi, a bit more upright and she's now happy. Nearly 4 months old

I have this exact same problem same age she screams so much, makes me hate having to go in the car now as she just screams and you can’t soothe her. I’ve switched her to a joie 360 and sat up and took inserts out and still screaming 🫠🥲🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve got the cybex T I-size and not taken out the newborn insert yet. She’s 11lbs but only 57cm but I’m going to take the insert out first and see if that helps before buying a new car seat. She has loads of toys and fun things to look at but I feel like it’s a constant guessing game. Thanks so much for advice ladies!

The insert is there to give baby a better fit in the seat. Removing it too early can make the seat less safe for LO. Often it's more about being separated from you rather than because of the seat itself. Could you try putting baby in the front seat instead? As long as the airbag is disabled then it's perfectly safe to have a RF seat there and would mean LO can see you and might be calmer
