Positive test for risk of preterm labour

Hello! Monday night I went in with tightenings and reduced movements. I got the test for risk of preterm labour and it came back positive and I had steroids 😖 they tested my urine Tuesday and turns out I have a uti (not sure if this set off the tightenings) now home with antibiotics and thinking is there anything I should or shouldn’t be doing? Is it just a waiting game 🤷‍♀️ just want to know others experience with this I’m 35 weeks tomorrow.

I went in Sunday with slight bleeding came back risk of pre term labour. Kept in hospital as a precaution had the start of tightenings around 11pm and then went into full labour at 2am and give birth by 6am Monday morning. Baby born exactly 35 weeks he’s small but completely healthy and we are heading home today. Keep an eye on tightenings if you worry go back to hospital and get checked. Hope you manage to relax and have a few calm and chilled out weeks before babies arrival 🤞❤️

@Amy Awwe glad you’re going home! My tightenings went from every 10 minutes for 1 minute to every 20 minutes for 1-2 and more painful and intense but then they dropped off at 5am yesterday and only had the odd one. They did a scan and she has had a bit a growth spurt so now being tested Wednesday for gd and her head was also so low down they couldn’t measure and she kept pushing down into my cervix but now she keeps going back up and I feel relatively fine I just don’t know if the aches and solid bump are caused by the uti 🤷‍♀️

I had this at 35 weeks in my first pregnancy exactly the same, test positive for pre term labour but ended up being a UTI. I had steroid injections and kept in overnight just in case but was sent home and didn’t have him until 39 weeks
