What age did you turn bub to front facing in a pram and car seat? Did anyone turn their babies at 6 months?

A lot of people say not to before 1 but I say do what you feel is best! As every baby’s size is different at each age. My son was forward facing in his car seat probably around time as he was always able to hold his head up from day 1 as well as we had a very small car but as for the pram his always loved the footy & would go every weekend so he was front facing about 5 minutes im pretty sure xx

My little one is 9 months and still rear facing. I will keep him that way as long as possible! He’s learnt to tuck his legs in so they’re comfy & I’m hoping once he has a sibling, it’ll encourage him to want to stay the same way a little longer ☺️

It’s been proven again and again how significant the chances of survival are changed when going from rear to front facing my son is 2 in 2 weeks and still backwards Personally my grandfather is chief firefighter of Toowoomba and has been his entire life. He’s had to retrieve to many baby bodies from the footwell of cars where babies have flung so hard from force forward they’ve broken so many bones making their limp body able to slip their harness and end up anywhere in the car, same goes for the babies that are retrieved from the car seat itself already deceased and most of the time it’s due to severed spinal cord from broken neck,The sad reality is it will never be you creating the accident it will be someone else on the rd that rams you from behind etc and when and if that happens I just couldn’t live with the fact my baby is dead and all the “what ifs” like what if I had listened to specialist advice and kept him rear facing until his little body was more able to survive impact

It's so much safer to keep the Rfing for as long as possible to give there bones time to fuse and grow so they can survive an accident. I just had to turn my two year old as he kept escaping out of his seat. Most babies won't reach the marker AND be the correct weight to turn at 6 months old. Car Seat Safety Australia is a great Facebook group with heaps of info! Pram is personal choice.

It’s something like 500% safer for kids to rear face in the car. My oldest rf until 4, my middle until 3, and my youngest will rf as long as I can. In the pram swap them whenever. Sometimes I felt like when they could see me they wanted me to hold them.

They recommend delaying forward facing as long as possible. As previously mentioned, the injuries sustained from a younger child in a forward facing seat is just not worth it.

Pram for both kids was always a forward facing one. Both kids were turned about 7months, as this is what worked for us.

We will delay forward facing our baby in the car for as long as possibly. My almost 8 month old way prefers being outward facing in their pram, so they often do, but we change it depending on where we are and their mood

We turned our son just after he turned 4. So proud we got that far. And he has long legs but was happy. Pram he was forward facing from day one.
