I use colour catch sheets if it's something new but generally when they've been washed a couple of times colour doesn't run, from my experience so I never separate
Only time i wash separate is new dark jeans and only his for some reason they bleed alot
Yep it’s just second nature to me! I do darks, whites and colours. Colours and darks will sometimes be a bit mixed but I know what stuff will run or not.
We have two separate hampers (well, it’s one hamper with a divider) so yes.
I do whites (whites and cream, maybe some pastel), darks (anything heavy in colour like navy, black and dark green) then everything else in a mixed colour wash
Weirdly, I do with mine and my husband's clothes but the kids I just chuck in together. Sometimes I'll put our light colours in with the baby clothes but I don't separate theirs. My son mostly wears colours, not a lot of lights, daughter has a lot of lights, not much darks
Well, I've always been a barbarian, I am not going to become civilized for this one thing 😂
I separate my whites but that's it.. and I keep kid clothes separate from mine and hubbies
Nope. The only time I’ll wash separate is if I have a ton of whites and I wanted to extra wash them
Lights and whites together, darks and colours together. No idea if it makes any difference but, that's what I do 🤣
Yes, lights together then darks together
I wash my whites separately as they're always dirty!
Never separated and never had colours run. Don’t use one of those colour catching sheets either. I don’t have time to faff about sorting, chuck it in and go
I wash whites and creams separately. Darks and colours together

If it's new and dark or red, I will wash it sperated depending on fabric. Everything else goes one load-mine plus both kids. Husband is usually seperate because he doesn't prep clothes when he puts them in hamper and I do. Prep being removed items from pockets, belts off, spray stains.
Nope I always wash them all together. I do our clothes, baby’s, our sheets/blankets, towels/kitchen towels
No, I don’t separate colors but I wash clothes and towels/wash cloths separately
I have a washing basket that is 2 sections (dark & lights) so I never have to separte 🤣it's heaven!
Yes lol always I’m not super domestic but was raised to do it this way - it makes sense to me and I’ve always done it this way as a result
No need when you have an HE washer.
Yes, I'm paranoid about having grubby looking clothes 🤣 I separate by whites/darks/colours/red&pink
Something about washing laundry makes me neurotic. I have such a specific system and it’s so embarrassing 😂😂
I sort into 3 loads. Load 1 which doesn't happen frequently is bed sheets and blankets (we have multiple sets so I let a couple sets pile up) Load 2 is my husband and Is shirts, sweatshirts, and pants. These get hung to dry Load 3 is socks, underwear, kids clothes because they all go directly into the dryer. I refuse to sort colors, delicates, etc lol
I do whites and light grey And then everything else 😂
Yea, always. I separate our laundry by person and color. I also have certain fabrics I don’t wash together. I wash all of our whites together though (except the babies’) because we don’t wear enough white items individually to have full loads
New clothing yes I'll wash it with like colors/ not with a white t shirt or anything. But other than that I have no time for all that
Nope, and never had a problem bleeding colour (as in colours cross over onto whites). I always wash cold and a good detergent not sure if that changes things.
