Cradle cap

My baby is 15 weeks old and has cradle cap, I know it’s just one of those things but he seems to have a bit on his face as he has rough dry patches on his forehead and side of the head. Can anyone recommend anything to treat this?

My baby did at the start too :) Coconut oil, leave on to soak, get a soft bristle brush and gently brush out the scales, then wash with baby shampoo and continue to brush and lift the scales away from the scalp. Please don’t try to lift the scales when their head is dry, it’s like picking a scab 🥲

I used dentinox cradle cap shampoo , worked wonders along with coconut oil after cleared up very quickly …. The shampoo could be bought at Tesco boots or any pharmacy ! Xx

@Chantelle second the coconut oil! All natural products do wonders. Avoid it drying out for sure, don't be too rough with the brush on their skin, and have some patience. ☺️

We use My Expert Midwife Mega mild cleansing wash in the bath and gently brushed a wet (dipped in bath water) Schnuggle baby brush on his scalp, a few times a week. That slowly cleared it up!

I second Shannon’s advice!! Both Dentinox shampoo and coconut oil was magical for my little one as well as she had pretty pretty BAD cradle cap!!
