Getting pregnant again

My husband and I are trying for baby #2 and it feels like it’s taking forever. I just weaned a few weeks ago but have been getting my period irregularly for a few months. Did it take anyone else awhile to get pregnant again? My irregular periods make the situation more difficult to navigate since it makes me think I’m pregnant. Would love any advice!

ovulation tests ❤️❤️

I haven’t been in this boat but it may help to get your hormone levels checked. It could help just to get a baseline of where you are, especially if the periods are irregular. This helped me when trying to get pregnant the first time and having irregular periods.

Id focus on eating well, folic acid supplements (and your partner eating well too). Since youve not long had a baby getting all the nutrients in will help again, and trying to fit in some exercise nothing crazy just something simple like walks, weights etc thats easy to fit into your routine. This will probably help your body get its strength back, lose any pregnancy weight you may be holding onto (not a bad thing, just excess fat if you have it can drive up estrogen but if your BMI is below 30 I wouldnt think it a huge thing). Good luck, may not take long at all just try to take care of yourself and your mental health during this time x

I agree with Lauren. Check your hormone levels. Ovulation strips didn’t even work with me since my body tricked me and it looked like I was ovulating and that’s how it’d show on the ovulation strips but instead my body was trying to ovulate hence I’d have the symptoms of ovulation. I’d suggest going to a doctor

So it's actually super normal for an average couple to take 3-6 months to get pregnant. My guess is you've been trying got less than 6 months? In that case it's completely normal to take a few cycles. Track ovulation, make sure to do it often around your fertile time and it will eventually happen 😉 I have the flo app it's a great one

Track your temps in addition to ovulation tests. Both of you eat really well and get good sleep

i got pregnant on accident at 9 months and that’s how i got this may 2024 baby 😂 good luck to you! 2 under 2 is not for the weak, it’ll really test you and your support system ♥️ with all that being said, a lot of times the man’s sperm needs to be alcohol/weed/junk food free for like a month i. think unless he just has super strong swimmers. you both need to be eating lots of fruits and veggies and drinking lots of water. (please do your own research on men’s fertility too cuz i’m pretty sure i’m wrong about it being a month!)
