@Kirstie this is currently an unsafe fit for your little one I'm afraid.
@Charley y
@Kirstie shouldn't have the coat on, shoulder pads should be on shoulders not on chest. Not sure where the straps are coming out as can't tell because of the coat but they need to be in line with or no lower than 2cm below the shoulder level
@Charley agreed! Thank you!!
Oh rite.. well thanks for that but unless u no details please dont judge.... currently not even in a car its like that while I am on route to somewhere. Once I get to the car then it will b correct. This is my second child and I no what I'm doing!!!!
@Kirstie no judgment. I just said "currently" as I obviously don't know the situation
@Kirstie I mean if you had them in the car like that then you don’t know what you’re doing 🤷🏻♀️ if you read manuals, it says anytime baby is strapped in, must be strapped in correctly.
I AINT IN A CAR FFS
I wouldn’t say you need to remove anything yet he looks like he’s got plenty of room in it. Mines maxi cosi and it says newborn to 3 months online but mine looks smaller than yours
@Felicia looks like baby still has a good fit with inserts in so I'd leave them in if there's no limit in the manual
Errrr I am normal thanks... ain't getting upset.. just ain't even in a pissing car so don't c the problem
@Kirstie literally just posted the problem.
@Baled Potato I completely understand your concern, but what happened to mums being kind to other mums, bit harsh to state "normal parents" I'm sure you nor any mum does everything to the book 🥹 Be kind 🤍
@Steph regarding car seats I absolutely do. I support moms until it comes to purposefully being ignorant. 🤷🏻♀️

@Baled Potato so you do everything completely right? Everything totally to the regulations regarding everything to do with your child? I'm not saying you shouldn't have highlighted an issue you saw, I am saying that insinuating someone isn't normal. It's unkind
@Steph regarding this specific topic? Which is what we are talking about, yes. I don’t care if you think I’m unkind. I’m not sugar. Car seat safety isn’t a parenting decision.
@Baled Potato you have raised an issue, @Kirstie has replied. End of . She's said the seat isn't even in the car. Make your point and move on , what other people do has literally zero affect on your life.
@Devon and I posted a reply. 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Anyway, back to the original comment 😂 usually the newborn insert should be removed when they get to 11lbs!
@Scarlet 🤍 it's seat dependent so best to consult the manual. Some seats have a maximum weight or height limit, others say whenever you get a good fit without it.
My newborn insert is 40-60cm so as soon as she reaches 60cm it will be removed, straps are slightly below the shoulders though so she may end up coming out before 60cm, she has a long torso and short limbs, obviously this wouldn’t be the same for a baby with long legs and a short torso. You can post a pic in a car seat group for a fit check?
@Charley thanks, that’s why I said ‘usually’…
Mine states to remove at 60cm which my 11 week old is 58cm. However it’s not the same brand. Sorry if it’s not much help x
Hiya, I had the same situation with mine but mine was a different design to yours. I was looking all over Google for when I should take the insert out. In the end I read that if your baby is looking cramped and uncomfortable, then it’s time to take the insert out! It’s your judgement really! 😊 hope this helps!
My boy is 12 weeks as well and the insert is still in mine for now
