Baby dry scalp

Hi all, Does anyone have any recommendations of what I can use for my little boys hair? He has dry scalp, constantly scratching - I’ve used so many different shampoos and hair oils now and no change. I will be looking to book an appointment with the GP but just wondered if there’s anything else I can try that I may not have already! TIA x

I would assume it can be used for any time of dry scalp, it is a bit on the pricier end but a little goes along way.

I used Colief Baby Oil

@Alaina that type of "brush" works soo well on it. I've never used the brand before though

Good old baby oil

Have you tried taking a break from the soaps and just use warm water with a silicone "brush" like in Alaina's picture. My son had dry scalp and I was using soap every Bath then I started only using soap once a week and used the brush one his head each Bath and it slowly went away.

I just use coconut oil, the kokoso brand

I use coconut oil

Coconut oil and sprays of water 🥥

My boy had awful cradle cap he lost loads of hair.. I bought organic coconut oil and warmed it up on the hob to make it runny.. waited for it to cool down and lathered his head in it and massaged it, left it for a few hours washed it out and it hasn’t come back xxx

We were told to use olive oil by the midwife

Raw coconut oil x I would say put some breast milk on if you're breastfeeding? Someone advised me to do that when my boys face was dry - works wonders haha!

It comes off almost immediately after no scraping or chemicals seeping right into his little developing brain
