@Sunny I would prefer a car seat for proper safety….
You can take 2 extra items of baggage for children free of charge I believe (might need to check with airline just to make sure). So you could put your baby in the seat in the taxi then box/bag it up at the airport to take on the plane then can use while over there too if getting in cars etc? I am sure you can buy a car seat bag and then pad it out with various things to ensure it doesn’t get bashed. The Facebook group car seat safety uk is great for info on car seats xx
@Sunny A child not in a car seat would undoubtedly be killed if the taxi crashed. Yes the law states you don't need one but it is highly unsafe . You can take 2 items so like a car seat and a pram I'd take my own box it up and use it in the taxi at the other side as you'll need a car seat if travelling to your hotel
For reference, we’re traveling back to visit family and will have a car seat in Canada (new), so one less item to carry with us.
Bambino taxis do car seats x
You don’t need a car seat for a taxi x you can ring the company and ask if they provide if not you don’t need it as long as they’re in the rear seat x
