@Jen I think I might wait til nearer the time on whether we get a buggy or not (at the moment my son loves his sleep and is still napping) I'm also out a lot going to his groups and stuff so he might need one but not too sure yet, I just want to get an idea really. My friend has given me a wrap but unsure if my back would be able to cope with carrying her all the time (I have quite a lot of issues with it since having my son via csection) a nappy caddy was one of the things I definatly remembered to put on the list.
Yeah I had 2 c sections and could manage for so long, but I've also always had issues with my back, when they are newborn it's not as bad it's when they get older it gets harder, both my kids was big babies so had to stop sooner 😔
Hey my son was born in July so he was a summer baby too, he was mainly in vests and cotton rompers, our house was also really warm through the night so we had a very thin sleep sack which was a life saver; we also had big muslin cloths that we used as a blanket as it was sometimes too warm for a thick blanket, also a pram fan which was good for when we went on walks etc and then your usual toiletry stuff nappies etc you can never get enough of! X
You might need the warm sleeping bags in 6-12 month size which your first wouldn't have used as it was summer at that age. Pram suit in 6-9 months. I think you'll find it more useful to prep for the winter months as by the time you're going out more, it'll be colder again. Bouncer chair that can be put at the table is handy for second so they can join for family meals at under 6 months. Agree with buggy board and baby carrier, that way baby can go in the carrier when toddler wants to sleep!
I have a bugaboo donkey and fits fine in the boot of my Focus. I actually managed to get it in my last car which was a Toyota GT86, although that was a bit of a squeeze! If you take the wheels off it goes much flatter so easier to fit in.
Zoe stroller looks pretty compact, but not sure the spacing of the boot of the car they you are working with
Have you thought about getting a buggy board rather than a double buggy? As my son was 2 and half when my daughter was born and he preferred to walk everywhere rather than in the buggy so did make it easier, I didn't get a buggy board but they are a very good idea! And something you can add to your wishlist 👀🤣 My son was born in June and he mainly lived in vests... As was too warm for sleep suits and that, you can get thin sleep bags rather than swaddling which I found good, I also loved the wraps for carrying my kids around with me for contact naps while I was doing things around the house or even going out as was easier than pushing a pram! Get lots and lots of muslin cloths, a nappy caddy so you can have nappies, wipes creams etc in! And you can carry it around room to room no issues, can't really think of anything else tbh but it's been awhile since I had to do it all lol
