Can I store car seat in a bin bag?

Hi, I’m having a the baby’s car seat professionally washed and I’d like to store it away safely since I won’t be using it for two months. Would storing it in a bin bag be okay ?

I dont see why not just order some big silica gel packets and chuck some of them in with it to avoid mould x

Mine is stored in a bin bag under the stairs, so is my bassinet of the pram, it will be fine as long as it’s stored in a dry place where won’t attract mould, you could wrap it in an old bed sheet then in a bin liner x

@Grace yeah the only thing I’m worried about is that it won’t be clean enough when I give birth. I’m having it professionally cleaned tomorrow and I want it to stay clean enough for when I’m due which is in under 2 months now 🥲

It will be absolutely fine as it will be have been covered, mines been stored since early last year and will be getting it back out when I’m due in April and haven’t had it professionally cleaned only because it wasn’t used for long, but I am having the bassinet professionally cleaned next month and that will go back away until she is here X

I think that would be fine - better than not being covered at all

Make sure to check the manual because car seats are very specific on how you can and can’t wash them and most are not supposed to get completely wet
