Same here first time mum! I have made a wish list on Amazon. Amazon have one called baby wish list and you get 15%off and suggest everything you need to you. Also little list does the same minus the discount! X

Hi Mamas! @Haley @Helen Mama of two, Postpartum Doula, and Founder of a Mom community! I’ve assisted with building quite a few registries (including my own). What you want varies based on the type of support you’d like from your community. Must haves: - Diapers - Wipes - Onesies - Safety items (humidify, nail clippers, thermometer, etc) - Bottles - Formula / breastmilk bags Big items - Car seat/Travel set - Bassinet (or co-sleeping options) - Breast pump Here are a few registries I’ve created that you can grab examples from! 1. https://my.babylist.com/cecelia-amom2be 2. https://my.babylist.com/baby-domingueztaylor 3. https://my.babylist.com/ourmilesbaby

One thing I recommend is a baby carrier. I’ve used Tula free-to-grow for my two kiddos. Really helps be able to get things done when they get clingy.

I will just tell you that you don’t need any other baby outfits (before 6m old) other than onesies. It’s really not fun for you or for the baby putting tshirts pants shoes and all the cute stuff like that.

Ooo also get sleepers that zip at the feet! Makes diaper changes so much easier.

One thing I never expected!: a rocker, baby chair, or bassinet for every room. They don't have to be anything special, I got a few secondhand. I left one in the bathroom that was just a reclined seat with straps for showers and bathroom (you need this more than you think), one for downstairs with a motor that rocked and played music, one for upstairs that was also just a reclined bouncer but had a vibration feature. Also those floor mats. One thing I didn't expect is that babies take so long to sit up on their own. It's such a hassle if you need to do something and you don't have somewhere ready and safe to place baby. Your arms are full 100% of the time.

And on that note, I got a massive 32oz water bottle with a strap that could also hold my phone. When you first start breastfeeding you're going to need constant water. It's like an automatic response, your body just craves water. So for me, going between upstairs and downstairs meant a water bottle with a strap. And it took me oddly like 3 months to transition to actually being in my living room more, just because of nap frequency and needs, and that was really too much. Make your living room like a second nursery and you won't go stir crazy. Set up a pack and play with a bassinet insert and use it as a second changing table. Trust me, you'll want the variety of rooms to be in

La petite crème (baby diapering cream).
