I would suggest looking at a Tula as they have toddler specific ones and are more affordable and more recommended by sling libraries!
I have one and I absolutely love it. I started using it at about 4 weeks and still using it daily with in 13m old. He’s 9.5 kg so pretty similar and it doesn’t hurt my back at all to carry him. We do a mix of front and parent facing. I’ve not tried to backpack way of carrying yet though but it does that too.

@Catherine thanks so much! What is it like on your shoulders too? The baby Bjorn is super uncomfortable on my shoulders now he’s heavier x

@Hannah it’s really supportive. The thick bottom strap means that most of their weight is distributed on your back. I barely notice any weight on my shoulders. I can comfortably carry him on a hour long dog walk. Could probably do longer but my cardio fitness would be the limit not the carrier. 🤣 I also love that compared to some of my friends carriers it’s so easy to put on. Literally just 3 clips so you can do it in seconds so super convenient for supermarkets or errands too.

@Hannah oooh I hope you love it! Which print did you get. I got the black and white chevron but was very tempted by the grey leopard print. They’re all just so pretty.

Isn't it only inward facing? Would your lo be ok with that?
