We are looking at a Ford Kuga :)
Being you have a staffy you can probably take your pick of any estate or SUV as you won’t need a ton of space for the dog crate.
Audi Q6 🥰x
Ford S Max? And a boot divider.
Depending on your budget really! I’m in the same boat as you! Newborn, toddler and a dog! We’re looking at Peugeot 3008, Nissan Qashqi. Ford Kuga is also good on boot size
We have a Kuga and a Travall boot divider and guard. It’s quite pricey but we’ve had the set up for a couple of years now and it’s great. They’re designed for the specific model so fit really well. To choose the car we went around a car dealership with a tape measure and buggy dimensions to see what was the best fit. Some boots were bigger in litres but the opening was narrow or the roof sloped too much.
I reckon my Tiguan would fit the pram as well as a crate, our dogs are too big to fit in one crate in the car though 😅 our Land Rover discovery 3 fits me, my boyfriend, our baby, 2 stepdaughters, 2 dogs (one a large lurcher) and the pram! Then we also have a roof box for even more space if we're going away 🤣 there's also plenty of space in the footwells in the back with the kids. They're pretty cheap to buy as well but the tax is expensive
Thank you everyone! These suggestions are really really helpful !! Didn't even think of a boot divider, that's a good idea xx
Our current set up is large dog and toddler in the back seat 😅 he's a pampered pooch but will soon be demoted to the boot and there's still plenty of pram space. We have a ford focus estate and found estate cars to be the best for back seat and boot space. We're 5'10 and 6'4 and our 360 car seat fits comfortably behind the driver which is a bonus as they take up so much room.
I have a Peugeot 3008. The boot has 2 layers. Pram goes in the bottom and my 2 dogs sit on top it’s brilliant x
We have a Skoda Fabia Estate which has a weirdly large boot for a car, bigger than some of my friends’ SUVs. We have both car seats in the back (we did have to turn my son forward facing to fit behind my husband because he’s 6’6” but it’s a super safe car seat), 2 adults in the front, dog crate and double buggy (baby jogger double) and some other stuff like a few bags coats etc. fit just fine in the boot. We can always stuff some things in the ‘leg room’ under the car seats as well We did get a new dog crate when baby 2 came so we could fit more, you can search for space saving ones, usually specific shapes to fit more
