I've been on both ends. 1st was easy pregnancy, easy labor. 3rd was rough pregnancy, hard labor
@Becky no I know someone that had the epidural and didn’t feel anything I don’t know how true that is , but her bd put her through hell so I think god gave her a smooth labor lol
First pregnancy, I was induced via pitocin (due to preeclampsia + high blood pressure). I gave birth via vaginal with no epidural. Second pregnancy, it was naturally (no induction/complications) and gave birth via vaginal with no epidural. The contractions was a lot stronger with the pitocin . Both pregnancies were smooth.
I think it’s most common you don’t feel much pain with an epidural. I have heard from everyone I have talked to that it mainly just feels like pressure and not really pain. Granted, there is a percentage of people that epidurals don’t work for. (This is also not saying labor is easy, this is just in response to your comment about someone that said they didn’t feel anything)
I don't think any part of labour is easy, but I think I know what you're trying to say, like no real complications? Both of my pregnancies I've had no complications, the second time around I was definitely alot more uncomfortable towards the end at around 7 months whereas my first pregnancy I was taking long walks at 7 months and felt pretty good. I was induced with my first in labour for 10 hours and had the epidural, my second I was having really strong, painful contractions at home for hours before going into hospital and when I arrived at the hospital I gave birth within 19 minutes, no pain relief, he arrived pretty quickly but I suppose that's because I did most of the work at home as the midwifes on the ward kept advising me to stay at home
