Is it common for obgyn collect the payments for upcoming delivery?
My obgyn asking me to make 4 x500$ payments for the upcoming delivery. (According to what my insurance covers this would be my estimated out of pocket). This is very strange to me because when I delivered in NJ I never payed more than 20$ a visit and then got the bill after the delivery.

It happened to us for my first pregnancy! we had to pay like $2,500 to my obgyn office but this pregnancy we haven’t& won’t have to pay for any baby visits! (Different Insurances)
