Boredom 🙃

Currently getting close to giving birth and I officially go on maternity leave from my job this Friday, but is it just me I am bored out of my mind like I literally been done nesting 🪺 since my second trimester and I don’t have anything else to do… please give me suggestions of things I should try doing 😂💕 before I lost my mind.

I did bead art. I was on bed rest from 31 weeks onwards due to preterm labour so bead art or a good show. I watched greys anatomy.

just soak it in. enjoy being bored & getting to be bored. enjoy simply lying there. go on walks & take as many naps as you can. maybe do some baking and watch some movies.

Get out of the house. Walk around Ikea. Window shop. Get your steps in, stay active. Walk the lake. Join a prenatal walking/swimming/yoga group if not just to make some friends. They’re local, and they’re all pregnant 😂 then when you give birth and ready to go out w baby again, find baby and mothers groups. Go out w some of the mums you met at prenatal groups they would’ve had their baby too, or close to you a couple weeks/months. I’m a sahm that’s never home. Those last few weeks of my pregnancy I walked SO much because Asian elders believe lots of walking = smoother birth (maybe because walking activates core and pelvic floor muscles) and in between those days, nap. Invite friends over for coffee days you don’t wanna leave the house.

I've just been decluttering a lot! Went full on Marie Kondo and threw away/donated a whole lot of stuff but apart from that I'd say that you should just pamper yourself and pamper yourself as you won't get to once baby arrives!

Sleep. And maybe prep some freezer meals and snacks to make postpartum easier.

u should come to my house and do my “nesting” for me 🤣💀❤️ i have not a damn thing done just a hospital bag packed and a dream 🫡🤭
