Ladies who have partners. How much paternity leave are they taking once baby arrives?
Im self employed so will not be taking any government maternity leave. What's a normal amount of time for husbands to take off work?

As a self employed person, I do believe you still qualify. In Quebec for sure. Believe my husband will be taking 3 months. His paternity allowance and we’ll split the rest of the parental leave
With my first, my husband took 2 weeks vacation when baby was born and then took 5 weeks of parental leave when baby was 8 months old.

I am an epileptic (really well managed but triggers are lack of sleep and stress) so I got my husband to stay home for a whole month. With this being said, after about two weeks I was feeling well enough that I didn’t feel like I needed him around for that long. On the other hand, it was really nice bonding with our new addition together.
