Ahh, she will be fine. Just follow the guidance they give after. My baby had his last Monday, and they handled him with such care he cried very briefly and then went back to sleep. No fever or issues after. Calpol should be used for 8 week immunisations and at 2 months old. All the best for today. It's more scary and nerve recking for us also. Just breathe and do not forget the red book.
I was advised they should not get a fever from BCG! My baby boy was absolutely fine afterwards. Just the scab takes a very long time to heal
My LG slept through having it done and was fine after. They shouldn't get a temp after so if she does, contact your gp as it's not to do with the BCG vaccine. The midwife who did hers is a friend of mine and explained it can take some time for it to blister and heal, and that she shouldn't have any side effects from it.
Hey both of mine were fine after the BCG I don’t think it’s as bad as the normal jabs they have later. My eldest was asleep and didn’t even wake up when she was having the BCG done. Check on the calpol and for advice from a healthcare professional if you are allowed to give Calpol to a baby as young as 3 weeks?
