I haven’t had my bloods back yet but I’m on aspirin for high blood pressure/ suspected preeclampsia. How are you feeling about it?

Was offered aspirin because my babies are small but I declined it.

I had it in my first pregnancy and took aspirin too. My baby was born fine, within normal measurements

I’ve just picked some up today, starting it at 14 weeks under midwife’s recommendation because of having PCOS and more at risk of preeclampsia

I was advised to start after the 12 2week scan, but it triggered a subchorionic haemorrhage which has been continuously bleeding now on and off for a month, so I’ve been taken off aspirin until at least that clears up. But I have an appointment with a consultant in a few weeks to review

I was also diagnosed with low Papp a. I am on aspirin till 36 weeks. I panicked at the beginning but the midwife reassured me and made it clear it’s not a diagnosis it’s a risk factor might not affect us at all. Message me if you want too x d

Thanks for the feedback, spoke with the midwife team this morning because I have been reading some conflicting recommendations on dosage for low papp-a. I was told by my midwife team to take 75mg but then according to royal obstetrics and gynecology it’s recommended to take 150mg…. They essentially told me that many hospitals have updated their policies to take 150 mg (2 pills a day of aspirin) but that their consultants are still reviewing and it maybe updated shortly…. But for the moment their recommendation is to take 75 mg…. So out of curiosity are you all take 75mg daily or 150mg?

I have been told to take 150mg! X
