How to announce pregnancy?
Now to start my MIL is not a bad one! She’s a wonderful woman, just a bit quiet so I wanted some advice on how to announce? With our first, family were very shocked and at very we got alot of judgement, I’m quite concerned this might happen again. Does anyone have any ideas on how to announce without it being too massive and equally cautious of of “are you serious?” Reaction, I’m very anxious

Why were they shocked and judgmental? What am I missing here?
I bought fake lottery scratch cards to do my announcement and it was fun and actually quite hilarious to those we chose to tell, which was a handful of people… less than 10 family members, and alot my neighbours. it was concealed from everyone else including most family members. Everyone who we allowed to be part of it loved the announcement.
