Help me with a career!

My family always frowned college so I never went. I got by doing house cleaning and random jobs. Didn’t pay the best. I got married and was a stay at home but my husband of 4 years left me with our little girl. I have her full time. Im 24. I have no money and I’m so lost in life. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I’m willing to go back to school. I’m willing to work hard. I want to be at a place where I can support my girl and I even if I have to work to get to that point. I just want security at this point. Ideally, working from home.

Best bet if you want to work from home medical coding is a great option or working in early childhood education (some daycares will let you take your child for free or discounted rates) I am in the same boat except my fiancé quit his trade we both f***ed up our lives and now I’m working on getting my medical assisting degree this fall while he works. Please message me anytime you feel you need someone to talk to or just someone to chat with. My inbox is always open🫶

Also congratulations in taking the biggest step forward. It is not easy and the fact you have such a strong drive is an amazing start💜

Always do your research before choosing your major! Go on social medias (YouTube, TikTok, IG) and see others perspective on that major to see if it’s worth studying for! It’s always good to have a degree for backup! You go girl, it will be hard but it is possible with hard work, consistency, and determination!! For now fix your resume and try applying from home jobs that do not require much experience. Try looking on Facebook work from home groups for recommendations and see if you land something! And if not try getting childcare and find a job, there are some programs that will help you cover the cost (even your college can help pay for your child’s tuition) so try looking into that if you decide to go back to school!

I’m sorry you’re going through a tough season right now. But it’s an exciting time because your future could go in so many directions. I love how ambitious you are and you should thinking of starting your own business. Message me after you get settled with a job, would love to help you start income on the side that you could eventually pass on to your daughter!

I would look into medical fields because they're always on demand and usually come with good benefits. Our local hospital has paid training programs for tons of positions from phlebotomists to medical assistants to EMTs to technicians. They train and pay the full hourly rate from training and you get a job when you complete it!
