I think legally you have to tell them at least 15 weeks before your due date which would make you about 25 weeks pregnant. But that's the latest you can inform them. Informing them earlier is fine and entirely up to you.
I find telling work earlier makes it easier to attend appointments without issues.
I told manager at 6/7 weeks and then the rest was after my 12 week scan
I had awful sickness so had to tell work when I was 5 weeks! (I’m a teacher). But yes, you have to tell them no later than 15 weeks before you’re due. So 25 weeks pregnant.
i told mine asap because the sickness meant i was off for a couple months & pregnancy related absence is protected x
Well I told them as soon as I found out and good I did because I’ve been signed off sick with hyperemesis for 3 weeks now
Its up to you. First pregnancy I told them early as a was working full time then so needed time off for appointments. I haven’t told them yet as I haven’t needed to as all my appointments have been my non-working day so far. I will call them next week before I go in as I am showing now and would rather just say than deal with speculation!
I just told me manager at 13 weeks
I told my manager at 6 because of fatigue and nausea. The rest I told them at 13 weeks.in my industry It helps to let them know early to ensure stress is managed accordingly. But also time off for appointment etc.
Thank you so much! This is really helpful🥰
Completely up to you! I told my manager early at about 7 weeks just so she was aware if I needed time off. Everyone else at work I told after 12 week scan!
