I use the Dexcom I had the lebre for my second pregnancy and didn’t rate it the readings was off quite abit but Dexcom seems to be spot on (for me anyway) x
Are you washing your hands with warm water before you prick?
I’m living with my parents and the hot water is only on at certain times of day so most of the time I’m washing my hands with cold water :( then I have to try and get them warm again which ends up taking forever. Might have to start boiling the kettle to wash my hands lol!! And I’m in the UK so got the device for free from NHS
@Kathryn tell them it’s hurting too much doing it all the time and ask for the lebre or Dexcom , you won’t have to prick at all unless you have a hypo
@Kirsty wow, didn’t know this was an option. Sorry to be dumb but how can it test the blood sugar without drawing blood??
It has a very very very fine needle that sticks in you , the lebre lasts for 14 days you can wear it on your arm and the Dexcom lasts 10 days and you can wear it on your arm or stomach, you get a app and it tells you on the app what your sugars are doing I’ve had lebre a from 7 weeks to 20 and then changed to Dexcom 4 weeks ago x
Didn’t know about this but good to know, thank you for sharing!
Run your hands under warm water for a little bit while washing before you prick! The warm water got the blood flowing for me every time!
