Maternity Allowance
I am only just getting around to submitting my maternity allowance now as I gave birth 7 weeks early and thought I had a bit of time as I was due in March. I’m just wondering how people sent off their maternity allowance with the MA1 form. Do you get the MA1 form back as they ask for the original. Also is it safe to send off baby’s birth certificate as I’m worried about sending it off. How does it all work. I’m very confused by it all

I’ve just sent mine off late too, with the birth certificate. I’m assuming they’ll send it back but I sent it recorded delivery to make sure it got there okay

How long did it take you all to get an answer, most people are saying 2-3 weeks, they say 4 weeks. Mine will be 4 weeks Monday and still haven't heard anything (apart from a text to say they received it x

I sent off my MA1 form and didn't get it back but you don't need it for anything else! I applied before my baby was born so didn't send off a birth certificate however I'm sure it would be safe x
