Petty for cutting off friend?

I just turned 29 on Feb. 13th. My bestfriend. Childhood friend. Friends since before we could walk or talk did not tell me happy birthday on my birthday she actually didn’t text or call at all on my birthday. She writes me today but it’s a random TikTok video. Am I being petty if I cut her off because of this?

I’m a little confused, are you thinking of cutting her off just for the pure reason that she didn’t say happy birthday? If that is the only reason and she is actually a good friend then I have to say yes, it’s a little petty we all know life can get away from us sometimes

Does she have ADHD? I do and I need to set reminders/alarms for my friends’ birthdays because I don’t usually know today’s date so I’ll forget. Also need to set reminders to call them because if I’m doing something else when my other reminder goes off, I might forget.

I’m sure it wasn’t intentional. Speak to her.

I would cut her off. I'm petty and that's messed up. Especially since yall been friends for so long.

Maybe she has more going on in her life than you realise. Perhaps you don’t understand the full situation. The only way you will know is to talk.

Yes because friends are hard to find. She could’ve had something going on. If you’ve been friends that long tell her.

She may have things going on in her life that have caused her to forget, if it is just this one thing I wouldn't cut her off, and think it says more about you than her if you are willing to

If my childhood best friend forgot my birthday, I’m calling her and asking her if she’s okay

Okay so I talked to her like a lot of you were suggesting. Her response was that she just didn’t want to tell me happy birthday. I was confused and hurt and I asked her if everything was okay. She told me everything was fine and shortly after we got off the phone I was blocked on all social media and my messages where no longer going through.

I'm sorry to hear that. That really sucks. I have childhood best friends and you remember their birthdays!! like they are family. I knew it sounded fishy.
